Adult Education Project
Our Adult Education Project has been providing training to the communities of Islington, Hackney and our surrounding boroughs for over 30 years.
We are an approved Assessment Centre for the Council for Awards in Care, Health and Education (CACHE) and can offer Accredited courses in Children's Care up to QCF Level 2. We also offer Basic Skills courses at various levels.
Our courses are held at the Factory Children’s Centre in a large classroom with resource units and lots of natural light. Computers are available for students (in and out of class time) for research, writing up assignments and contacting prospective employers and volunteer placements.
We keep our class sizes down to ensure every student receives the support and guidance they need, to work both together and independantly to gain the qualifications they need to move forward with their careers, education and lives.
Our Courses include:
Factory's Introduction to Childcare and Play
12 weeks - Unaccredited
CACHE Level 1 Award in an Introduction to Early Years Settings (QCF)
16 weeks - Accredited
CACHE Level 2 Certificate for the Children and Young People's Workforce (QCF)
1 Academic Year - Accredited
Basic Skills - Literacy and I.T at Levels 1 and 2
12 weeks - Accredited
ESOL Classes are available at our Centre through our Partners at Islington Council, Adult and Community Learning (ACL). Currently class days are Wednesdays and Fridays. Please phone for more details.......
